How much will this cost me?

Overall, your team and the services you provide are very useful to me. As a Canadian citizen living overseas and not having a regular doctor in Canada to go to, it was very helpful to me to have my (my son’s) needs fulfilled with your services. I was very happy with the efficiency and helpfulness of your team member I dealt with and mostly in an online chat over a few days. Thank you again for everything!

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the travel consult cost include price of vaccines?

No. Vaccine pricing, like any other prescription drug, is set by the pharmacies and payable on prescription pick up. Your price also depends on any drug insurance coverage you may have. We do our best to partner and select pharmacies that offer the most competitive vaccine pricing. Vaccine prices range approximately from $20 to $240 and the most common travel vaccines cost $65 on average.

How is this different from a regular travel consult?

It’s similar but more convenient for you. The consult is done by phone and we send your prescriptions and vaccines to the pharmacy closest to you or one of our preferred pharmacies. The pharmacist administers any vaccine injections. We’re passionate about making healthcare convenient and efficient for all.

Is the fee covered by employee health insurance plans?

Yes, travel consult fees and vaccinations are reimbursable by most benefit plans. Check with your insurance provider for your exact policy. We’re happy to provide receipts compatible with your insurance provider’s reimbursement requirements.

Do you have the Yellow Fever Vaccine in stock?

Unfortunately there is a worldwide shortage of yellow fever vaccinations. This means that only very select clinics are offering a fractional dose that will be valid for a year.

Our partner Edmonton pharmacy is looking to secure supply. Until then, if you think you may need yellow fever vaccination, you may consider doing the travel consultation at such a clinic instead of with us.

We can help track down a clinic for you that has yellow fever in-stock. However these clinics do not accept outside prescriptions and do charge their own consulting fees on top.

What's the catch with the free travel consult option?

There is no catch. The only restriction with the free travel consult option is we will only send the prescription to our partnering pharmacies. Vaccines are not free but are priced competitively at our partnering pharmacies. By restricting the free option to select pharmacies, we can achieve economies of scale through higher volume and pass the savings on to you.

Do you do travel consults for babies and children?

We can do travel consults for children under 1 year old or greater than 5 years old. For children 1-5 years old, we recommend you visit a traditional non-pharmacy travel clinic as pharmacists in Alberta cannot administer injections for 1-5 year olds. All other ages are supported.

What is your refund policy?

We’re so confident about our service that our travel consult fee is 100% refundable anytime before prescriptions are sent to the pharmacy. You can cancel your appointment anytime or reschedule with no fees or penalties.
